Labor Day weekend has come and gone but the summer is not over yet. Technically, we have until the 21st to enjoy what’s left of the summer. Just a short 55-minute train ride from Manhattan is a beautiful beach town (and my hometown) named Long Beach and if you’re looking for a great way to spend the last few weeks of summer, consider Long Beach your next destination.
Here are 10 things to do in Long Beach before the summer is over:
1. Visit the Farmer’s Market at Kennedy Plaza
2. Sign up for surfing lessons at Skudin Surf
3. Stay at the Allegria Hotel
4. Go fishing at Magnolia Pier
5. Go for a walk (or bike ride or run) on the boardwalk. Any time of day works but there’s nothing like a sunset or sunrise at the beach
6. Catch a game at The Park
7. Rent a bike at Buddy’s Bikes
8. Fly a trapeze
9. Have brunch at Cabana’s
10. Grab a beach souvenir at Long Beach Discount and Variety
11. Did I mention, go to the beach??!
