Provided you’re not spending the day at work, shoveling snow or other duties, why not use the upcoming winter storm to do something productive that you’ve been meaning to get around to? This obviously applies to us East Coast residents. Everyone else: stop telling me how “cold” it is when you’re enjoying 60 degree weather!
Some helpful snow day suggestions:
Sleep in or nap This one is number one for a reason; I love to sleep! And yes, recharging will make you more productive, especially if you need to catch up on sleep.
Get a jumpstart on Spring cleaning Start decluttering your home now and make your Spring cleaning routine less stressful.
Make a homemade Crockpot meal I’m busting mine out this weekend. It’s the perfect companion for the chilly weather. Be extra productive and make enough to freeze for another day.
Declutter your digital life Social media, files, photos, etc. It’s always in the back of your mind but you can never find the time to do it. Here you go…
Do an arts and crafts project with the kids I’m not crafty AT. ALL. But maybe this will be the weekend to try something new.
Invite some company over for a movie day Netflix has so many new movies and shows. Get under some comfy throw blankets and make an afternoon out of resting.
Catch up with an old friend You and a certain friend keep missing each other. Make this snow day the time to finally connect. Bring champagne.
Have a snow date Snow days are perfect for a cozy snow date.
Catch up on some reading All those books you’ve been meaning to get to? Now’s your chance.
Have a spa day Treat yourself to a mani-pedi, facial and some exfoliating.
What are your plans for the snowy weekend?
